Channel Code of Decency
The excessive yelling (use of CAPS), name calling or insults towards another member or guest, will not be tolerated.

There will be no use of profanity (including masked or implied).

Topics shall not be discussed that are offensive to others. These may include but are not limited to politics, religion, sexual preferences, race, and bodily functions.

The channel name will be a dignified version of the guild initials.

The channel topic will be a dignified and friendly welcome to all, and should include the URL of the Guild web site.

The channel leader shall be a DR member when possible. If the channel was set up by a non member, they shall defer it to the first DR member that logs on, if and when asked.

If a guest violates any of the above codes, they shall be asked to cease in a polite way. If they continue, they will be warned that further violation will render them unwelcome. If they continue, this constitutes harassment. Use the /ignore and /complain option. As last resort, when all else fails, the channel leader (DR member only) may kick the individual.

Courtesies
We are a helping and teaching guild. We help when we can, to the best of our ability, the honorable peoples of the Realm.

Respect your fellow guild members. This means, no infighting. We follow a basic code of honor. Keep your integrity at all times.

Disputes between members of the guild will hopefully be few and far between. We are a guild of honor, chivalry and friendship. If a dispute should arise, the first line of dispute resolution lies with the Dragon Leader(s) of the involved members. If a resolution cannot be reached at this level, the Queen will be the final arbitrator of disputes, with the majority agreement of the Dragon Council. This resolution is final.

The Golden Rule applies in this guild.

Demotions
If a member has left the guild to join another, and wishes to return, they would not resume their former rank. They would instead be re-inducted at a rank one below the current entry level rank of each class, on probationary status.

Because the guild values loyalty, this rank would be in part to allow that member to have an opportunity to show renewed loyalty to the guild. In addition, this probationary rank could be used as a tool for demotion, if a member chose to engage in behavior which would constitute a serious infraction.

Donations
Sizeable donations of gold, mana or items by exiting members or Realmers shall be given to any Dragon Leader or the Queen for deposit into the DR Armory until such time the items can be disbursed amongst the appropriate Class Armories. They are not to be left on the floor of Guild house.

Donations received of items not needed (excess) may be placed in the Class Armories by the Dragon Leader or designated trustee(s) of that Class. Donations for other classes will be given to a member of the other class for deposit in the appropriate armory, by the Dragon Leader or designated trustee(s).

Dragon Leaders
To help coordinate recruiting, but not shoulder the responsibility for it.

To coordinate and recommend promotions, demotions and inductions based on membership consensus.

To help explain the guild bylaws to members and prospective members and act as a conduit to dispel rumors or questions which may circulate.

When receiving forms of interest, they will post them on the message board (Dragon Bytes) for all to see.

After sufficient time has passed (partly up to the Dragon Leader's discretion based on messages on the voting board and general guild feedback), the Dragon Leader of that class will recommend the prospective member and call for a vote.

The Dragon Leader will be responsible for communicating with the prospective member whether the vote is for or against. If the vote is not favorable, the Dragon Leader will inform the prospective via email, the reasons he/she was denied membership.

If the vote is favorable, the Dragon Leader will announce the results at the next meeting and will be responsible for inducting the new member and assigning his/her rank.

When the Dragon Leader feels a promotion should be awarded to a member of their class, they will announce the recommendation at a meeting and post the announcement on the vote board. The Dragon Leader will tally the votes and will be responsible for performing the ceremony.

The Dragon Leader will be responsible for informing the new member who their Armory Trustees are.

Guild Houses
Currently there are three guild house categories. DragonsReborn, DRAnnex and the Class Armories.
DragonsReborn
This house is used to hold meetings and perform induction and promotion ceremonies and is the official Guild Hall. The password is only available to the Queen and Dragon Leaders. The chest is used to store dye, mundane clothing, holiday decorations and excess pelts.

DRAnnex
This house is used to store items to be used as prizes and hold donations from current and exiting members until the items can be disbursed amongst the Class Armories. The password is available only to the Dragon Leaders and Queen.

Class Armories
These houses are used to store items no longer needed by members, for use by other members who have lost their items in battle or as the result of a scam. It is used to store weapon and armor smithing supplies, as well as skill books found as treasure, and not needed.

Class members are free to borrow these items until they can replace them, as soon as the opportunity arises. These items are on loan to those in need and are not gifts. They are not there to be taken and given to new Realmers or friends, or to be used in drops.

These houses are not stocked by the guild, but by the members for the members. If items are taken and not replaced and becomes empty, the will remain empty. The passwords are available to the Dragon Leader and chosen Trustees of the corresponding class.

Trustees
Each Class will vote within themselves and choose two Trustees who will be given the name and password of their respective Armory. Should one of these Trustees leave the Guild, the password will be changed and a new Trustee will be chosen. If a Trustee should go on RLOA status, the password will be changed and a new Trustee will be chosen. Positions of Note

Promotions
Promotions are based on attitude, guild representation and regular attendance at meetings. Not length of service and levels. The criteria also includes:

Representation of self (attitude) on channel, in relations with others, reflection of those recruited by the members and that potential or new member's behavior, how much and well the member helps others, demeanor and attitude (boasting and humility).

Associations made by guild members reflect upon them personally as well as their class and the guild as a whole. A member may recruit many members, but if those members do not represent the guild well or leave, it reflects not only on the new member, but also on the person who sponsored them. If we are doing our jobs by representing the guild well to others, people who do not share our ideals will self-select out. The same is true for alliances.

Representation of class on channel, answering questions or offering help specific to class.

Representation of guild to other guilds (ambassadorship or forging new relationships) on other channels, to other guild members such as reminding them of etiquette or guild bylaws, wearing uniform to official functions and use of channel leader abilities.

Guild representation means more than passively being on channel if others are not following the spirit of our beliefs. The Dragon Leaders are here for leadership and to intervene if needed. But, all members have the right, responsibility and ability to communicate our values and to help others as well.

Therefore, promotions are based on more than being around on channel and on Realm, and more than quantity of recruits or alliances suggested and forged.

Quorum
A quorum will be one half plus one of all members in good standing. To carry a vote, the majority of the quorum must agree. Members on Realm Leave of Absence or MIA status will not be counted as part of the quorum for any purpose.

Uniform Dress
All members will maintain a uniform

The basic uniform will consist of a white top (doublet or tunic), a blue bottom (pants, long or short skirt), and blue boots.

A cowl will be worn that corresponds with class color. Wristbands will match cowl color, with the exception of the Thief Class.

Queen - Royal Purple
Dragon Council - Gold
Adventurer - Blue
Warrior - Black
Wizard - Red
Thief - Cowl Green, Bands Brown

The uniform is mandatory at all guild functions and optional during normal play.

Members are required to wear their proper level baldric at all guild functions.

Helmets currently may be of any color.

Prospective members are not required to wear the colors prior to membership.

MIA Procedure
Communication is of the utmost importance. If you are not heard from or show interest for four weeks, you will be placed on "MIA" (missing in action) status. You will remain on MIA status for an additional four weeks. If you are still not heard from or show interest in that time, you will be removed from the guild.

If a member on MIA status (having shown no interest in the guild for a minimum of four weeks) returns and is removed from MIA status for whatever reason, they have an additional two weeks probation. If during that period, they do not participate or communicate to the satisfaction of the guild, a vote may be taken and they may be expelled.

If the vote does not carry, that member will have an additional two weeks on MIA status. If no interest is shown in that time, the member will be expelled from the guild. There will be no further extensions.

If while on MIA Status it is discovered the member no longer has an account on Realm, they will automatically be removed from the roster.

Jumping Defined
Jumping is the act of initiating combat with an unwilling opponent(s) and making threatening/offensive gestures before exiting. Any member caught jumping will be ousted from the guild on the first and only occurrence. Two or more witnesses and a screen shot will serve as proof. Any member showing /yescombat will be queried and a valid reason must be given.

If you are "join jumped" you have the option to exit or see it through to the end. Self defense is, of course, allowable. If by chance you choose to see it to the end and you are killed...there will be NO complaining, NO retaliation and NO items will be replaced by the Guild or appropriate Class Armory.

Report any incident you deem worthy, especially scams, to a Dragon Leader or above.

Alternate Toons
An alternate persona is a free agent and may do as they wish. However, they may not represent Dragons Reborn in any way, verbally or in their biography. They may not utilize the guild houses or armories for any purpose. No conflict will be created with our guild meeting requirements. They will be treated as any other visitor to channel regarding the Channel Code of Decency.

Leave of Absence
Meeting Leave of Absence
If you acquire a job or job shift or any other situation that will keep you from attending our weekly meetings for an extended period of time, you may obtain a Meeting Leave of Absence (MLOA) on request. You will still be expected to visit channel during the week and participate when you can, vote, and visit the web site for updates on events and read the newsletter on a regular basis. You will remain a member in good standing, retain your rank and your vote will count in the quorum.

Realm Leave of Absence
If for any reason Realm becomes inaccessible to you or you choose to leave it for an extended period of time, you may request a Realm Leave of Absence. You will be expected to visit the web site and keep up to date on guild events and issues. You will remain a member in good standing, retain your rank, but will not be counted in the quorum for any reason.

Persons on RLOA must have contact with leadership no less than once every three months. This rule can be waived by the Queen or the Dragon Leaders at their discretion. The leadership will contact any RLOA member that has not communicated for three months.

If the RLOA has not responded in the three month period following contact by the leadership (a maximum of six months with no communication), they will be removed from guild and sent a communication by the leadership stating this has been done. If the RLOA member returns after being removed from guild, they must submit a form of interest and be voted upon as any new recruit.

If while on Leave of Absence Status it is discovered the member no longer has an account on Realm, they will automatically be removed from the roster.
