Dragon Council Meeting Notes August 7, 1997 Hail Dragons! Attendees: Yira, Heckler, Thessalona and Socrates Meeting was called to order at 9p eastern on ICQ Topics discussed: Clarification of Voting Board procedures Guild houses and chests.....their current and future purpose Procedures for Bylaws review and update 1. The Voting process was clarified. Henceforth, the Dragon Leader recommending a prospective for vote and subsequent induction, will post a main message stating this fact on the Vote Message Board. If there are more than one being presented at any given time, they will be listed separately . Each member of the guild will then cast their vote for that particular prospective in the form of a REPLY to the main message. No new post shall be created to show your vote. The Dragon Leader will then tally the votes and announce the results at the next meeting. If the vote is favorable, the Dragon Leader will then induct their newest member. If the vote is not favorable, the Dragon Leader will inform the prospective by email of the reasons he/she was denied membership. 2. The use for the two current guild houses and their chests was discussed. In older versions of Realm, the DragonDen chest held weapons for use by lower level members who had lost theirs by being killed during battle. Lower level players usually had not been able to earn the gold it might take to replace the weapon they had saved to purchase. When upgrading to higher level weapons, members would have occasion to donate their old ones to help these individuals. In the current version, this is no longer the case and the chest has not seen much use. When the Mists rise this will change. Once again you may lose your weapons or shields, equipped or not, or they may become damaged in combat. The chest will again be used to store these donated items. It is stressed once again, that these items are on loan to those in need and are not gifts. What is taken should be replaced as soon the opportunity arises. Discussion on the need for the second guild house was tabled until the Mists rise. 3. Procedures for review and updating the Bylaws were clarified. At the initial meeting, it will be determined which Bylaws need attention. One or two, at the most, will be chosen for review each week. That Bylaw will be posted on the Vote Message Board for comments and suggestions. Those comments and suggestions will be made in the form of a REPLY to that post. No separate post shall be made. At the end of the week the Dragon Council will take the most stated opinion and draft it as a revised Bylaw. It will be presented to the membership, discussed and voted on. Meeting moved from ICQ to Realm at 10p eastern and was adjourned at 10:30p eastern |
