Dragons Reborn Frequently Asked Questions

   To Main

Q.

What kind of guild is this anyway?

A.

The Dragons Reborn is what is called a teaching guild. We help out anyone we come across in whatever way we can. It also means that we do not pickpocket or jump (attack) other players for any reason, even in retaliation.

Q.

Does that mean you'll help me gain levels or get better weapons/equipment?

A.

Not necessarily. We are here to answer your questions and help you to get more fun out of the game. While gaining levels or increasing your fighting abilities are a big part of the Realm, we believe that it is the friendship and camaraderie that are the main objectives.

Q.

Does that mean you won't help me fight?

A.

Not at all! In fact that is something we stress to those who want to become part of the Guild. When members hunt with each other and with prospective members, it has a way of building friendships and strengthening Guild ties. Just ask and more often than not someone will be glad to hunt with you. Just don't feel bad if we suggest a place for you to hunt by yourself instead. Members can be busy people at times too.

Q.

Speaking of prospective members, exactly how do I join this guild?

A.

There are a few simple but very important steps you must take in order to become a member of the Dragons Reborn. The first step is nothing more than going to our Internet site (www.dragonsreborn.com) and filling out a form in the "About You" section of the site. This form will be sent to one of the Dragon Leaders who will then present it to the membership. At this point you are considered a prospective member.

The next step is crucial to attaining membership. Since the members themselves vote on who is to be inducted into the Guild, it becomes very important for you to get to know them and for them to get to know you. You can do this by chatting with us on channel 200 ( /join 200 ), hunting with members, and by attending guild meetings. When the Dragon Leader for your class determines it is time, your name will be brought forth to the membership to vote on for induction into the Guild.

Q.

How long does it take to become a full member?

A.

The answer to that question is determined entirely by you. If you make an effort to get to know the members and present yourself as a person who is honorable, friendly, and worthy to become a member, this whole process can take a short time indeed. Rudeness, foul language, and other immature actions will only lengthen the time.

Any hacking, scamming, or other similar activities immediately disqualify you from Guild membership. We have a zero tolerance for such behavior.

Q.

What are guild meetings and where/when do they occur?

A.

Guild meetings take place every Saturday evening at 9:00 EST in a house called DragonsReborn. This is a time for all the members to discuss Guild business including: Alliances with other guilds, promotion of members, induction of new members, introduction of new prospective members, and other various items of interest.

Q.

Everyone is standing on pelts at the meetings. Do I need a pelt also?

A.

No. It is just a tradition that we enjoy. If you do not have a pelt and would like one to stand on, you can borrow one from the stack near the door. Just make sure to return it once the meeting is over.

Q.

Is there a required uniform for the guild?

A.

The Guild uniform consists of a white shirt and blue pants/skirt and shoes. Cowls and wristbands are the color of your class: Adventurers &150; blue, Warriors &150; black, Wizards &150; red, Thieves &150; cowl green, bands brown.

Only members are required to wear the uniform and then only at meetings and official Guild events. Members can wear whatever colors they wish while hunting. Prospective members may likewise wear any colors they wish.

Q.

What do people mean by meeting protocol?

A.

In order to keep meetings from bogging down into total chaos, there are a few basic rules that must be followed so we can finish the business at hand in a suitable amount of time. Meeting protocol will be read at the beginning of each meeting.

Q.

What if the Realm is down during meeting times?

A.

Meetings will still be held on the web site at www.dragonsreborn.com/DRChat.htm If you have any questions about how to do something in the java screen please type /help instead of disrupting the meeting by asking. Meeting protocol is still in effect even though it is not on the Realm.

Q.

Can I make a donation to the guild?

A.

We thank you for showing selflessness in your desire to help out the Guild, but we do not accept sizeable donations from prospective members lest it be seen as a bribe for membership. It is best to wait until you are a full member and then place it in your Class Armory.

Q.

What are Class Armories?

A.

A Class Armory is separate house each run by a different character class. In that house are items donated by members in order to help out others of that class. They are to be used only in emergencies and expected to be returned/replaced as soon as possible.

Only members of the particular classes know the locations and passwords of their Class Armory.
